Icy Strait Adventures

Full day charters aboard the Namu II in these protected waters provide unique sight seeing and excellent fishing opportunities. You can enjoy your lunch on the safety of our boat while observing brown bear browse the beach, or groups of whales feeding on schools of herring.

Owner operated Charter and Guiding Service Based in Elfin Cove, in Southeast Alaska's spectacular wilderness

Icy Strait Adventures is a charter boat and guiding service offered by a fishing and boating family with extensive local knowledge and a simple Alaskan lifestyle. On your next vacation, share their adventure. Icy Strait Adventures should not be mistaken for a resort or lodge. The Craig family has commercially operated boats and fished in this wilderness area for many years. They will help you experience the wonders of wildlife and the thrill of catching some very nice fish.

Sandy Craig, most often at the helm, is a naturalist and U.S. Coast Guard licensed boat operator with over 20 years commercial and sport fishing experience. Joe Craig is a Merchant Marine officer with 41 years local experience and 25 years as a commercial fisherman. Icy Strait Adventures is fully licensed and insured. Activities in the Tongass National Forest are by permit from the U.S. Forest Service. Activities in Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve are by permit from the U.S. Park Service.

We accommodate private parties of two to four people. Every trip individually tailored to the interests of our guests.
